It is July 27, 1987, and 27-year-old single mother Rebecca Spencer is sound asleep on her couch. She wakes to a stranger above her. The man has a knife and uses all his strength to bring the knife down and stab Becky violently repeatedly. The community was in shock but the police were sure they would solve the case fast. They were wrong and the case went cold for two years. The killer would strike again on September 4, 1989, when a mother and her two children were attacked in the middle of the night. Police were shocked by the heinousness of the crime but the bigger shock was soon to come when investigators found the killer.
