On December 2, 1954, Mary Holland was found dead on the floor of her liquor store bathroom.  Her hands were tied behind her back and a .38 caliber bullet in her skull.

Three weeks later Wesley Kerr was found dead at the gas station where he worked. Hands tied behind his back and with a gunshot wound to the head. 

It seemed Evansville, Indiana had a killer on the loose.

76. The Jamison Family Mystery

 

On October 16, 2009, in Red Oak Oklahoma hunters come across a truck on the side of the road near the top of Panola Mountain. As they start to look around and investigate, they notice that the truck is locked but there is a dog inside. The puppy didn’t look well as it seemed like she had been inside this truck for a long time. The hunters fan out and look around to see if they can find the owner of the truck but have no luck. They call in the Latimer County Sheriff’s to get help.  Investigators arrive, look in the truck and they know immediately something was not right. What happened to the Jamison family? Mornington, Victoria Austria is a quiet coastal town that is located about 35 miles or 57 kilometers south of Melbourne. Many folks from Melbourne take day trips to visit the beaches and wineries that Mornington has to offer.

On May 26, 2004, 37 John Sharpe, a lifelong resident of Mornington goes on TV to plead for anyone with any information about his wife and daughter who have been missing since the end of March.
Although John seems like a concerned father, his body language makes the public suspicious. There seems to be more to the story that the tale John Sharpe is telling but no one is prepared for the truth.

74. What Happened to Tiffany?

Twenty-year-old Tiffany Sessions is a junior at the University of Florida studying economics and getting excited to get her life started. It is February 9, 1989, and Tiffany had finished all her classes and decided she would go out and take a walk before hunkering down for a night of studying. Tiffany told her roommate she was going to take her usual powerwalk and she would be back soon which meant she would be returning around 6 pm or so.


Six o’clock comes and goes and Tiffany has not come home yet. By 8 pm, her roommate is starting to worry as this was not like Tiffany at all. At 9 pm, her roommate calls the police and then calls Tiffany’s parents to tell them she was not yet home.  It would take a lot of police work and many years of dead-end leads to figure out what just what happened to Tiffany Sessions on that winter day.

72. Edward Maps: The Beatnik that Beat Feet...Or Did He?

January 1964.  Neighbors alert the fire department that 510 Sarah St in Stroudsburg PA was on fire and Edward, Christine and four-month-old Julie Louise were inside.

The first responders found 23-year-old Christine barely alive on the kitchen floor.  They found Julie Louise not breathing only a few feet away from her mother.  

Numerous searches in the house and surrounding areas were held but Edward Maps was never found. 

The District Attorney named Edward a wanted man for arson and murder. The FBI put him on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted List.

But in 1995, the case is reopened. Maybe Edward Maps isn't guilty after all.
