It is October 17, 1941, and 73-year-old Phillip failed to answer his front door. Since his wife was in the hospital, the neighbors took turns having him over for dinner so he would not be all alone. This evening Phillip was excepted to come to the neighbor's house for food, and he didn’t show up. Not sure why the neighbor went to Philip’s house and knocked on the door, but no one answered. Worried something was wrong, she gathered a few more neighbors and went back to the house. After checking all the doors and windows, they located a window that was unlocked and a neighbor crawled into the window. The worst fears became a reality when the young woman started screaming about what she had discovered inside.
